A Niagara Falls-based developer will give new life to the St. Catharines General Hospital site when the new Niagara Health System complex opens its doors next year.

The NHS announced Monday it has sold the St. Catharines General site, located on Queenston Street, to Niagara Falls developer Panoramic Properties Inc.-Butera Group. The sale will close once the facility stops functioning as a hospital, and all of the equipment and services are moved to the new complex in 2013.
