Old Survey Maps

A recent article that I read in the St. Catherines Standard in August 2007, was talking about the collection of old survey maps of the second Welland Canal. Over the years, I have had clients from out of town especially, ask me about the original Welland Canal. Seems that online we can see 53 maps of the original canal. It shows the land from Port Dalhousie all the way down to Port Colborne. The maps date back to the 1860’s. The link is Our Ontario. Enter the keyword “Welland” to see all the maps.
