wine-festival-2010.jpgNiagara Grape and Wine Festival, now known as the Niagara Wine Festival, is one of the Top Ontario Festivals, attracting half a million participants each year. Since 1952, this festival has featured more than 100 events  –  wine, cheese and food experiences, wine seminars and cooking shows, artisan and craft show, tours and tastings, family entertainment and one of Canada’s largest street parades! The Grande Parade, always sponsored by the Pen Centre, is now backed by Smart!Centres and Retrocom, and will be held Sept. 25th in St. Catharines. The theme this year is “How green it is” to recognize local green energy efforts. More than 30 participating wineries open their doors to the world along Niagara’s famous wine route. Or, have the best of Niagara available to you at the Wine, Cheese and Food Experience in Montebello Park, with dozens of Ontario’s top restaurants and wineries plus world class entertainment. The Niagara Wine Festival offers something for every taste, Friday to Sunday.
