Sisters seek help for sweet baby Riley (cont.)

Bloggers, We had a blog entry a few weeks back about Riley. Here is a follow-up story and a way we can also help!

On Jan. 19, they’re hosting a 7:30 p.m. fundraising party featuring the music of Flat Broke and John Boyd at the Armenian Community Centre on Martindale Road. Tickets are only $ 5.00 at the door. More information at Friends of Riley on Facebook. It’s also a place to gather donations and a forum for support.

Here is the article in St. Catharines Standard about Riley.

    Ok….Here goes….

I am speechless….we raised over $16,000.00 for Riley’s Son-Rise Therapy program at the Friends of Riley Fundraiser last night!!!! It was incredible!

Everybody had such a great time and the crowd was non stop!!! There were over 400 people in attendance and at most times there was standing room only. The food was delicious, the Silent Auction was a screaming success with a donation list of prizes totaling over $8000.00, and people dancing to the fantastic sounds of Flat Broke and John Boyd. Donations for door prizes were still coming in with the crowd!

Tom (Tucker) and I cannot find words meaningful enough to express the depth of our gratitude. We feel like we won the lottery…not only with the money raised, but with the incredible friend and family support, with the tremendous help from ALL the volunteers, the generosity of John Boyd and Flat Broke, and the outpouring of love and concern of the community. We are truly blessed.

This event was a success because of all of you!

    Thank YOU!
